A Rawlings Cornell Presidential Research Scholar, Matthew is pursuing a degree in Biomedical Engineering. Previously, his interest in improving the health of society led him to research how eggshells can be used to mitigate global warming, earning recognition as a Top 300 finalist in the Regeneron Science Talent Search. Since 2024, he has been continuing his passion for health-benefitting research at the Cosgrove Lab, under the mentorship of Jessica Orton, currently studying how aging affects regeneration of skeletal muscles using mouse models.
During his free time, he plays the piano and occasionally runs up the slope with his friends.
